The Blackmagic Design 12G BD SFP Optical Module is a hot-pluggable optical transceiver that adds a fiber optic connection to any compatible Blackmagic Design product fitted with an SFP cage. It converts electrical SDI to optical and back, sending broadcast quality video with embedded audio over single-mode fiber across long distances with no loss of quality.
The module automatically switches between all SD, HD and Ultra HD formats up to 2160p60 and uses a robust duplex LC fiber connector, making it ideal for 12G-SDI workflows in studios, outside broadcast and large facility installations.
