The Panther Specter Key Grip Starter Package is the ideal entry point into the Specter modular truss and rigging system for a key grip or rental house. Specter is a next-generation truss platform for film, broadcast and grip, machined from 6082 high-grade, military-proofed aluminium that is about 20% stronger than the 6061 used in comparable trusses. It is not welded or folded but bolted together from precision CNC-machined parts, so there are no welded seams to fail, every part is field-serviceable, and the system reaches full strength with flange bolts and nuts alone, with no washer plates or reinforcement accessories required.
This starter set brings together the most-used lengths in the 6-inch (6" x 6") series so a crew can begin building cranes, jibs, car rigs, sliders and lighting structures straight away. Specter is 100% compatible with ModTruss and ModulusX, and is engineered by Panther GmbH in Germany.
