The Sony FE 85mm f/1.8 (SEL85F18) is a fast, lightweight short-telephoto prime built for full-frame E-mount cameras. It pairs an ideal 85mm portrait focal length with a bright f/1.8 aperture and a 9-blade circular aperture for smooth, flattering background blur. Compact and weather-resistant, it delivers G Master-style rendering at a fraction of the size, weight, and cost.
Key Features
- Portrait focal length: 85mm on full frame for classic, flattering compression and subject separation.
- Bright f/1.8 aperture: Fast maximum aperture for low light and shallow depth of field.

- Fast, quiet autofocus: Double linear motor system delivers rapid, near-silent focusing for stills and video.
- Handy controls: Dedicated focus-hold button and AF/MF switch on the barrel.
- ED glass: One extra-low dispersion element suppresses chromatic aberration for clean, sharp results.
