The Blackmagic Design 6G BD SFP Optical Module is a hot-pluggable optical transceiver that adds a fiber optic connection to any compatible Blackmagic Design product fitted with an SFP cage. It converts electrical SDI signals to optical and back, letting you send broadcast quality video with embedded audio over single-mode fiber across long distances without signal degradation.
Built around a robust LC fiber connector, the module supports SD, HD and Ultra HD formats at 6G data rates, making it ideal for studios, outside broadcast and large facility installations where copper cable runs are impractical.
